New study checks cancer drug safety in patients with liver issues

Summary

This study looks at how the drug pralatrexate is processed by the body in people with advanced solid tumors or blood cancers who also have mild, moderate, or severe liver problems. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood and track side effects. The goal is to find the right dose for patients with different degrees of liver impairment. About 24 adults will take part.
