Summary

This study tested whether a battery-powered bone marrow biopsy device (OnControl) causes less pain and takes less time than the traditional manual needle. Fifty adults who needed a bone marrow biopsy were randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Researchers measured pain levels reported by patients and the time needed to complete the procedure.
