Promising new treatment for teens with painful skin condition

Summary
This study tests a new drug called povorcitinib in 40 teenagers aged 12 to 17 with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a painful skin condition that causes boils and tunnels. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and can reduce symptoms over 54 weeks. Participants take the drug daily and are monitored for side effects and improvement in their skin.
