NCT ID NCT05145309

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a powder containing potassium, magnesium, and citrate (taken in water) can help prevent or treat high blood pressure in African Americans. About 45 African American adults with slightly elevated blood pressure will take the supplement or a placebo for several weeks. The goal is to see if this mineral mix can mimic the blood-pressure-lowering effects of a healthy diet like the DASH diet.
