First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a program to offer family planning to women right after giving birth could work on a large scale in Rwanda. Over 42,000 people took part, including clinic directors, nurses, and community health workers. The goal was to train staff and provide counseling and birth control options like IUDs and implants to new mothers, with the aim of reducing unintended pregnancies and improving health for mothers and babies.
