First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 7-10 day course of low-dose blood thinner (LMWH) after delivery can prevent blood clots in women at high risk. About 9,200 new mothers with risk factors like emergency C-section, obesity, or pre-eclampsia will either receive the treatment or no treatment. Researchers will track clot events, bleeding, and wound healing for 90 days after birth.
