Can a brief blood thinner course save new moms from dangerous clots?
NCT ID NCT07140211
Summary
This large study aims to find out if giving new mothers at risk for blood clots a short, low-dose course of a blood-thinning medication (LMWH) for 7-10 days after delivery is safe and effective. It will compare women who receive the medication to those who do not, checking for clots, bleeding, and other complications for 90 days after childbirth. The goal is to prevent life-threatening clots in the legs or lungs during the high-risk postpartum period.
