First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether doing special tongue and throat exercises after surgery helps people with moderate-to-severe sleep apnea breathe better at night. 51 adults were split into two groups: one did 12 weeks of exercises after surgery, the other had surgery alone. The exercise group had much bigger improvements in breathing pauses and oxygen levels, especially 3 months after surgery.
