First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking a postbiotic supplement for 7 days before colorectal cancer surgery can lower the chance of complications like infections or other problems within 30 days after surgery. About 164 adults with colon cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either the supplement or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple addition to pre-surgery care can improve recovery.
