Liver cancer patients get chemo directly into the liver after surgery to stop cancer from coming back

NCT ID NCT07337421

First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving chemotherapy directly into the liver after surgery can prevent liver cancer from returning in patients at high risk of recurrence. About 30 adults who recently had their liver cancer removed will receive a special chemo cocktail through a tube into the liver artery. The goal is to see if this approach extends the time before cancer comes back and improves overall survival.
