New surgery may end acid reflux for gastric bypass patients

Summary

This study tests a surgery called fundoplication to stop severe acid reflux in people who had a gastric bypass. About 17 adults who still have bad reflux despite medication will be followed for up to 2 years. The goal is to see if the surgery can control reflux without needing lifelong drugs.
