Summary
This study compares two simple bed positions—semirecumbent (sitting up slightly) and lateral (lying on your side)—to see which one better prevents dangerously low oxygen levels after surgery. About 1,200 adults who had general anesthesia will be randomly assigned to one position and monitored closely. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to reduce breathing complications right after an operation.
