Simple position change may prevent oxygen drops in kids after surgery

NCT ID NCT07231887

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether placing children in a specific position when their breathing tube is removed after sleep apnea surgery can lower the chance of dangerously low oxygen levels. About 262 children aged 2 to 10 having tonsil or adenoid removal will be randomly assigned to different positions. The goal is to find a simple way to reduce breathing complications right after surgery.
