First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study involved 80 adults having major abdominal cancer surgery, either with a scope (laparoscopic) or open incision. Researchers used a special probe placed in the esophagus to measure heart function in two different positions: lying flat and tilted head-down. The goal was to see if position changes affect blood flow and vital signs, helping doctors better manage fluids during surgery.
