First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether a polyurethane foam dressing leads to better scar appearance and fewer infections than a standard gauze dressing after cesarean delivery. Two hundred women who had C-sections were randomly assigned to one of the two dressings. Researchers checked scar quality and infection rates over six months to see which dressing worked best.
