First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at using a fast, point-of-care COVID-19 test to help triage patients with heart or breathing emergencies. Researchers tested 66 adults who already had COVID-19 to see if the rapid test gave the same results as standard lab tests. They also compared different swab methods (nasal, throat, or both) to find the best approach.
