Summary
This study aims to see if giving a 20-valent pneumococcal vaccine (PCV-20) to adults while they have a fever works as well and is as safe as giving it a month after they recover. It will involve over 1,000 adults who are at higher risk for serious pneumococcal infections and are hospitalized with a fever. The goal is to reduce missed opportunities to protect people from pneumonia and other infections.
