New pneumonia vaccine trial aims to boost protection in adults

Summary
This study tests a new pneumococcal vaccine in adults 18 and older to see if it is safe and helps the body fight off pneumococcal disease. About 558 participants will receive either the new vaccine or a licensed one. The trial has four stages, with different age groups and vaccine versions, and lasts up to 12 months.
