Does PMOS affect physical fitness and sleep even in active women?
NCT ID NCT07747259
First seen Aug 05, 2026 · Last updated Aug 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at physically active women with and without Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) to see if the condition affects core stability, body awareness, pelvic health, sleep, and quality of life. Researchers will compare two groups of 25 women each, all of whom practice Pilates regularly. The goal is to understand whether PMOS has an impact on these health measures despite regular physical activity.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If differences are found, it could highlight areas where women with PMOS need extra support despite being physically active.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational study with a small number of participants, so results may not apply to all women with PMOS. It does not test any treatment.
