New antibody drug takes aim at Hard-to-Treat cancers
NCT ID NCT07337525
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jul 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new drug called PLT012 in adults with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to standard treatments. PLT012 is an antibody that targets a protein called CD36 found on some cancer cells. The main goals are to find safe doses and to see if the drug can shrink tumors or slow cancer growth. All 36 participants will receive PLT012 by IV every three weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- PLT012 (an antibody that targets CD36, a protein on some cancer cells)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to other therapies.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very early, small Phase 1 trial focused on safety, not proof of effectiveness. The drug may cause side effects or fail to shrink tumors.
