New treatment tested for 'Ozempic Face'
NCT ID NCT07478198
Summary
This study is testing whether injections of a material called Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) can safely improve facial skin sagging and wrinkles that sometimes occur after significant weight loss from medications like Ozempic or Wegovy. The treatment aims to stimulate the skin's own collagen to restore volume and tightness. Researchers will enroll about 22 adults aged 30-60 who have lost weight using GLP-1 drugs and are now concerned about facial laxity.
