NCT ID NCT07419620
First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests if starting with a less invasive ultrasound-guided biopsy, and only moving to a more involved scope procedure if needed, works as well as doing the scope procedure right away. About 420 adults with unexplained fluid around the lungs will take part. The goal is to see if the step-by-step approach is just as accurate, while being safer and more affordable.
