First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether injecting a patient's own blood into the lung lining after tumor ablation can prevent air leaks. About 106 adults having lung ablation will be randomly assigned to receive the blood patch or standard care. The goal is to see if the patch reduces the need for chest drains, pain, and hospital stay.
