Plaque predicts gum therapy success in new study

NCT ID NCT07524504

First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study will check if the amount of plaque in a person's mouth can predict how well non-surgical gum treatment works. About 100 adults with gum disease will get standard deep cleaning, and their gum health will be checked at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months after. The goal is to see if people with less plaque have better healing. This is an observational study, not a test of a new treatment.
