NCT ID NCT07394894
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compares two minimally invasive treatments for chronic plantar fasciitis, a common cause of heel pain. One uses pulsed radiofrequency to desensitize nerves, the other uses steroid injections to reduce inflammation. 122 adults with persistent heel pain will be randomly assigned to one treatment, and neither they nor their doctors will know which they received. The goal is to see which provides better pain relief.
