Can plant protein match dairy for building muscle in seniors?
NCT ID NCT06628349
Summary
This study aims to understand how different protein sources affect the body's ability to build and maintain muscle in older adults, particularly those with age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia). Researchers will compare liquid meals containing whey (dairy), soy, or pea protein to see how each influences key muscle-building signals in the blood. The goal is to gather data that could inform future nutritional advice for healthy aging.
