Herbal blend tested to fortify immune defenses against HIV

NCT ID NCT04770701

Summary

This study tested whether a specific combination of six plant extracts and vitamin C could help protect and increase levels of important immune cells (CD4+ T and B lymphocytes) in people living with HIV/AIDS. The goal was to see if this plant-based medication could reduce the damage HIV causes to the immune system. The trial was completed with 60 participants who had HIV and showed signs of immune decline.
