Placenta power: new training tool for brain aneurysm surgery

Summary
This study tests a new way to train brain surgeons using donated human placentas. The placenta's blood vessels look very similar to those in the brain, making it a realistic model for practicing aneurysm repair. The goal is to improve surgical skills without putting patients at risk. About 50 placentas will be used to train neurosurgery students.
