Lab-Grown tumor clusters guide new drug combo for stubborn lung cancer
NCT ID NCT07351565
First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This early study tests whether adding the statin pitavastatin to standard chemotherapy can shrink tumors in people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has stopped responding to second-line treatment. Doctors will use a lab test on patient-derived tumor-like cell clusters to pick the most effective chemo drugs for each person. The main goal is to see how many patients have their tumors shrink after four treatment cycles.
