New hand surgery aims to restore pinch in nerve injury patients

Summary

This study tests a surgical procedure that moves two tendons in the forearm to help people with chronic ulnar nerve injury regain pinch strength. Seventeen adults aged 18 to 60 with stable hand joints and no active infections will be enrolled. After surgery, their grip strength and hand function will be measured to see if the procedure improves daily activities.
