Can a pilates machine beat the mat for back pain relief?
NCT ID NCT07261020
Summary
This study tested whether Pilates done on a special machine (reformer) or on a mat is better for women with herniated discs in their lower back. Forty women participated, with half doing each type of Pilates. Researchers measured their pain, fear of movement, and quality of life before and after the exercise programs to see which approach worked better.
