First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares two tools, piezotome and periotome, used for gentle tooth extraction before placing a dental implant on the same day in the front upper jaw. The goal is to see which tool better preserves bone and gum tissue for a more natural-looking result. Thirty adults with a damaged front tooth that cannot be saved will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Researchers will measure bone changes and wound healing over six months.
