First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether playing pickleball for 12 weeks can improve thinking skills like attention and memory, as well as motor skills like balance and strength, in 32 adolescents aged 14-18 with mild intellectual disability. Half the group will play pickleball three times a week, while the other half continues their usual activities. Researchers will test everyone at several points to see if the sport makes a difference.
