Exercise advice keeps seniors with cancer on their feet

NCT ID NCT01432067

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether giving older cancer patients (70+) personalized physical activity advice could help them stay independent for longer. Over 300 patients receiving curative cancer treatment were given either general health advice or a tailored exercise program for one year. The goal was to see if the tailored program could prevent a decline in physical function.
