New light treatment zaps tooth infection and cuts pain

Summary
This study tests whether a special light-activated dye can kill more bacteria and reduce pain after root canal treatment. Fifty adults with infected single-root teeth will receive either standard care or standard care plus this light therapy. The goal is to see if the added light step improves healing and comfort.
