Light therapy at home could keep seniors steady and sharp
NCT ID NCT07260903
First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether regular use of a home-based light therapy device (photobiomodulation) can improve balance and thinking skills in adults aged 60 to 80. Falls and memory lapses are common concerns as we age, and this safe, non-invasive approach might offer a practical way to stay independent. Sixty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the active light treatment or a placebo device, and their balance and memory will be measured over time.
