Summary
This study looks at whether testing a patient's genes before giving them a new medicine can prevent side effects and make treatments work better. About 4,000 adults in the hospital or clinic who need a new drug will give a cheek swab. Half get their gene results right away to guide their prescription; the other half get results after three months. Researchers will track side effects, hospital visits, and costs to the NHS.
