First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether women need different amounts of the essential amino acid phenylalanine during their menstrual cycle. Current recommendations are based on studies in men and may not fit women's changing hormone levels. Researchers will use special diets and breath tests to find the right amount for healthy women aged 20-35.
