Summary
This study tested a pharmacist-led program for people with opioid use disorder who are about to be released from jail. Participants received overdose training, Narcan nasal spray, motivational counseling, and help connecting to medication treatment after release. The goal was to see if this approach improves access to medications and reduces racial differences in overdose rates.
