First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the phantom sensations some people feel after a leg amputation can be used to improve walking. Researchers will test special socket adjustments to see if they can create helpful sensations that make walking feel more natural and less tiring. About 228 people with lower-limb amputations will participate.
