First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether closing a common heart defect called PFO (a small hole between the upper chambers) can reduce migraine attacks. Researchers will compare 150 adults with PFO—some with migraines and some without—before and after a procedure to close the hole. The goal is to see if the closure improves migraine symptoms and brain fluid function.
