New scan could make finding pituitary tumors easier

NCT ID NCT06584123

Summary

This study is testing whether a newer type of PET scan (called FET-PET) works as well as an older, less available type (Met-PET) for finding pituitary tumors. Researchers will compare the two scans in about 20 people who have already had the older scan as part of their regular care. The goal is to see if the newer scan could be a good alternative, potentially making this kind of detailed imaging more accessible to more patients.
