New scan aims to pinpoint prostate cancer more clearly
NCT ID NCT03334500
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan that uses a special tracer to look for a protein called PARP-1 in prostate cancer tumors. It involves 30 men with prostate cancer who are already scheduled for surgery. The goal is to see if this scan can better identify and locate cancer by comparing the scan images to the actual tissue removed during surgery.
