New imaging agent could spot hidden myeloma cells

Summary
This early-stage study tests a new radioactive tracer called [89Zr]DFO-YS5 for PET scans to find multiple myeloma cells that have a specific protein (CD46). About 20 adults with confirmed multiple myeloma will receive the tracer and have a PET scan. The goal is to see if this method is safe and can detect cancer better than current scans.
