Scientists test new imaging tracer to see inside adrenal glands

NCT ID NCT04546126

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new radioactive tracer called [18F]FNP-59 to see if it can create clear pictures of the adrenal glands using PET/CT scans. The study includes healthy volunteers (some of whom will have their hormones temporarily altered) and people with known adrenal gland conditions. The goal is to see if this tracer works better than older methods for imaging cholesterol activity in these glands.
