First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving the drug tislelizumab along with chemotherapy or chemoradiation before surgery could completely eliminate esophageal cancer in 70 patients. The goal was to see if no cancer remained in the removed tissue. The approach uses PET scans to guide treatment decisions. While promising, patients still need surgery and may require ongoing monitoring or medication.
