PET scans reveal hidden leukemia spots that could impact CAR t success

NCT ID NCT05969002

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special PET-CT scan could find leukemia hiding outside the bone marrow in people with relapsed or hard-to-treat B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Ten participants received a PET scan before getting CAR T-cell therapy. The goal was to see how often hidden leukemia spots appear and whether they affect treatment results. This was a small, early-stage study to gather information, not to test a new treatment.
