First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving hospitalized patients a personalized medication plan helps them stop using strong opioids sooner, lowering the risk of dependence. About 200 adults with acute non-cancer musculoskeletal pain will be randomly assigned to usual care or the personalized plan. The goal is to see if the plan reduces the total days on strong opioids.
