New hospital strategy aims to curb opioid dependence in pain patients
NCT ID NCT05905146
Summary
This study is testing whether a personalized medication plan given to patients in the hospital can help them stop taking strong opioid painkillers sooner. Researchers want to see if this plan reduces the risk of patients becoming dependent on these medications. The study involves 200 patients hospitalized for sudden, severe musculoskeletal pain that is not from cancer or an injury.
