Smart tech aims to tame type 1 diabetes by learning your personality
NCT ID NCT04443153
Summary
This study tested if a smart continuous glucose monitor (CGM) system could better manage type 1 diabetes than standard sensor-augmented therapy. Researchers wanted to see if customizing the system's advice based on a person's psychological and behavioral traits could improve blood sugar control and reduce stress. About 88 adults with type 1 diabetes used different levels of device support over several months to see which approach worked best for them.
