Blood test could spare thousands from harsh chemo
NCT ID NCT07340567
Summary
This large international trial is testing if a simple blood test can help doctors personalize chemotherapy after surgery for stage III colon cancer. The test looks for tiny bits of cancer DNA in the blood. If the test is negative, patients may get a shorter, gentler chemo regimen. If it's positive, they may get a stronger, more intensive one. The goal is to give the right treatment to the right person, avoiding unnecessary side effects while still effectively controlling the cancer.
